7-day self guided travel enduro tour through northern Armenia

During this travel enduro tour, you will visit the beautiful waterfall Trchkan, experience the country's rich history and enjoy Armenia's marvelous landscapes.

Day 1: Arrival
After landing at Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 2: Yerevan - Echmiadzin - Zvartnots - Garni - Geghard - Yerevan
After a hearty breakfast at the hotel and the handover of the motorcycles, you will ride to Garni village where you can visit the only pagan temple in the Caucasus (1st century AD) and the cave monastery of Geghard (12th-13th century AD, UNESCO World Heritage). Enjoy an unforgettable lunch at Serghey's house, taste Armenian barbecue and take part in traditional Armenian bread baking. In the afternoon, you will ride back via Yerevan to Echmiadzin - the religious center of Armenia. There, you will see the Saint Hripsime Church, one of the first Christian churches of the world (301 AD), and the Zvartnots Cathedral (7th century AD, UNESCO World Heritage). Then, you will ride back to Yerevan to spend another night.

Daily mileage: about 140 km. Included meals: breakfast and lunch.

Day 3: Yerevan - Sagmosavank - Amberd - Hagpat
Today, our route will take you to the Sagmosavank Monastery from the 13th century AD, which stands above the picturesque gorge of the Qasagh River. From there you will go to the Amberd Fortress from the 9th-11th century AD, located on the slopes of Aragats Mountain at an altitude of 2200 m above sea level. The last stage of the day will take you to the village of Hagpat, where you will also spend the night.

Daily mileage: about 240 km. Included meals: breakfast and dinner.

Day 4: Hagpat - Vanadzor - Goshavank - Dilijan
After breakfast you will visit the Hagpat monastery (10th-13th century AD, UNESCO World Heritage) and then head to the Goshavank Monastery from the 13th century AD while passing through the town of Vanadzor. After visiting the monastery you will continue to Dilijan, a forested town known as Armenian Switzerland. You will spend the night in a cozy accommodation.

Daily mileage: about 170 km. Included meals: breakfast and dinner.

Day 5: Sevan - Noraduz - Vardenyants Pass - Yeghegnadzor
Our route will take you to the Sevan peninsula first, where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the lake. Here, you also have the option to see interesting monasteries before you continue to the Noraduz cemetery, where there are numerous Armenian cross stones. Now it's time to get back on your motorcycle for the last stage of the day and ride the Vardenyants Pass. You will spend the night in Yeghegnadzor.

Daily mileage: about 150 km. Included meals: breakfast and dinner.

Day 6: Yeghegnadzor - Noravank - Khor Virap - Yerevan
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, it is time to hop on your motorbike and explore some more of Armenia's rich culture. Today's route will take you to the Noravank Monastery from the 9th-14th centuries AD and on your way, you will pass through different climates and landscapes. The Noravank Monastery, famous not only for its architect Momik but also for the beautiful gorge, is always worth a visit.

After lunch you will get back on your motorcycle to ride back to Yerevan, although on your way back you should plan a stop at the Khor Virap Monastery that will offer you the best view of the biblical Mount Ararat (on Turkish territory). The last night will be spent back in Yerevan.

Day 7: Departure
Today, we will take you to the airport to start your journey back home.

For your convenience, the tour price already includes the rental fee for one of our 4-stroke Yamaha XT660 motorbikes that are in perfect condition.

If you'd instead prefer to bring your own bike, please see our FAQ section to make sure your enduro meets all of our requirements for this tour.

For your own safety, we require you to wear a helmet, gloves, a motorcycle jacket or jersey and durable motorcycle boots while riding. For this purpose, please bring your own protectional gear.

If none of our proposed tour dates work for you, simply send us a message and let us know when you'd like to travel to Armenia - the best time to travel through Armenia on a motorbike is between May and October.

In accordance with §651r BGB, you will receive a risk coverage certificate immediately after completing your reservation that protects the amount that you have paid to us in the case of our insolvency.

The minimum number of participants for this trip is 1 person. Unless you specifically booked this tour as a private tour, we may join you with other travelers.
