Argentina the Hard Way
Nine Days Enduro Tour through Argentina
This tour leads you through the marvelous landscapes of Argentina. This package offers you six guided day tours with lots of enduro fun, one day of relaxation, and two days are reserved for your arrival and departure. As for all our tours in Latin America, everything you'll need is already included in your package so that you can focus on riding and experiencing the country. The route described below can change according to the weather and other current incidents, however our experienced guides will always pick the route that suits you best.
Tag 1: Arrival in Salta
Our driver will pick you up from the airport and will drive you to your hotel. Depending on your time of arrival, you can go on a first sightseeing tour through the city, before you can enjoy a delicious dinner and we will tell you more about what you will experience in the upcoming days of your enduro trip.
Tag 2: Around Salta
After breakfast, you can get acquainted with your motorbikes. Afterwards, we will ride along interesting mule paths and through river beds for 80 km until we reach a height of 3000 meters. If you're lucky, you can even see some flying condors! We will enjoy a challenging ride back to Salta, where we will stay the night and end the day right.
Tag 3: Salta - Chamical la Troja Dique
Today, we're facing about 100 kilometers of hiking trails. Passing the house of Martin M. de Güemes, the hero of the Gaucho del Salta, we will ride through a fascinating landscape and enjoy marvelous views of the Andes. In the evening, we will reach the Hotel del Dique and spend a relaxing evening and night here.
Tag 4: From the goat farm to Guachipas Pampa
The plan for today is to ride 130 kilometers through rough terraine until we'll reach a height of 4000 meters. We'll ride to Cafayate and take a short asphalt road from there to reach our Hotel for tonight, the Hotels Cafayate.
Tag 5: Free time in Cafayate
In Cafayate, situated 1600 meters above sea level, at the beautiful river of Cordillera and surrounded by vineyards, you can now relax from the past riding days. Check out the many examples of colonial architecture or enjoy a calm day with a glas of wine or a cold beer.
Tag 6: Cafayate - San Carlos Mine Don Otto - Amblayo - Izonza - Cachi
After you've had a relaxing day yesterday, a very special route is awaiting you today: we will ride 160 kilometers along the trails of the famous Dakar Rally! Along rocky and sandy trails, we will ascend to 4000 meters once again and you will be able to truly challenge yourself on this technical and diversified enduro day. In Cachi, a typical colonial city, we will spend the night.
Tag 7: Cachi - Cerro Negro - Manzano - Campo Quijano
We will ride 120 kilometers along a very technical route today. 4000 meters above sea level, we will enjoy another special highlight when we will have lunch with the Native Americans of the Andes and we will visit a Andes school afterwards. Of course, we can also choose an alternative, easier way - depending on your riding skills, we will decide for the right trails to right in the morning, so that everybody can enjoy themselves. We will spend the night in Quijano and have a relaxing evening there as well.
Tag 8: Quijano - Salta
Today, we will ride back to Salta along challenging gravel roads, and like riding a roller coaster, we will pass many hills. We can either enjoy a rustical lunch with the natives or end the day with an Argentinian barbecue evening, before we will spend the last night of our tour in Salta.
Tag 9: Salta - Airport
This is the last day of our tour and you will travel back home. After breakfast, our driver will bring you back to the airport and we are hoping that we can welcome you here or in Costa Rica again soon.
