7 Day Intensive Carpathian Tour - Romania on a Motorbike

Prepare to put your riding skills to the test while enjoying the unspoiled beauty of the Carpathian Mountains. Our tour is designed to offer breathtaking experiences and adventures - full of riding fun!

Tour itinerary:

Day 1: We start our journey at 09:00 from the APUSENI LODGE Romania® with a very special tour through the Apuseni Mountains. Winding roads, high plateaus with magnificent views and the fantastic world of Apuseni await you. This first stage already gives us an idea of what we can look forward to over the next few days.

Day 2: Today's destination is Lacul Vidra. We don't want to give too much away, but you can be sure of one thing: you are guaranteed to fall into an ecstatic frenzy of bends. We spend the night on the shores of the lake with a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains.

Day 3: No less winding is the route to the east of Transylvania. We cross the Carpathian Mountains for the second time and are now near Odorheiu Secuiesc.

Day 4: Passing Lacul Izvorul Muntelui, the largest reservoir in Romania, we enter the 10-kilometre-long Cheile Bicazului, some of whose rock faces rise over 100 meters vertically, and cross the pass road to Lacul Roșu, 30 kilometers away. A little later, we reach our destination for the day, Sovata.

Day 5: We reach the Transfăgărășan, on which we cross the Carpathians for the third time. On the Transfăgărășan, we have to pay close attention, stay behind the tour guide and strictly follow his instructions. Because even if the bears are only sitting here to be fed from passing vehicles, they remain wild, unpredictable, fast and extremely strong original inhabitants of the Romanian forests.

Day 6: The Transalpina, also known as Drum național 67C, is the highest pass road in Romania. It crosses the Transylvanian Alps, connects Gorj County in Lesser Wallachia with Alba County in Transylvania and reaches an altitude of just over 2100 meters. We are driving this magnificent panoramic road today, crossing the Carpathians for the fourth time. It can stay cool up here even in summer, so don't just dress warmly for the fantastic experience. We reach the Târgu Jiu region in the evening and end the day as usual in comfortable accommodation.

Day 7: The adventure isn't over yet, because the last few kilometers of our tour make our biker hearts beat faster once again. We also want to indulge in a little culture at the end, so we stop off at Hunedoara Castle, which has already served as the backdrop for films such as Fright Night and Ghost Rider 2 due to its imposing beauty. Back at APUSENI LODGE Romania®, you can collect any luggage you may have deposited and, if you have time and leisure, review the past few days around our campfire.
