Mountains & Sand Dunes - 8-Day Enduro Tour through Morocco

Fast tracks through the Sahara and impressive mountains, which we cross on the enduro - this and much more awaits you on this Morocco enduro tour.

Day 1: Welcome to Morocco

Arrival at Ouarzazate airport and short transfer or arrival at Marrakech airport and transfer by minibus (at extra cost) organized by us to our 4* riad-style hotel. Your motorcycle will be waiting for your arrival.

Freshen up, do the paperwork, then you can laze by the pool or go into town. Dinner is a buffet at our hotel.

Day 2: Ouarzazate to N'Kob (approx. 230 km)

A very pleasant riding day, giving us time to get used to the bike and the terrain. After breakfast and about 6 km on the road, we head west into the countryside on a winding road prepared for asphalt but not yet covered with the black material. Then it's off into the real terrain, mostly on firm ground, interspersed with some short rocky sections, river crossings and small villages. There are some long sections with tracks winding through the hills without a single rock in sight.

After 100 km, we turn southeast after our picnic, which we have somewhere along the way, and wind our way down through the Anti-Atlas Mountains to the town of Agdz. After a short fuel and coffee stop, we head 30 km off the road through the Palmaraie along the Draa River before we hit asphalt again. Here we ride 22 km on the road heading east and stop at our accommodation in the village of N'Kob. We spend the night in a converted kasbah that is more than 200 years old.

Day 3: From N'Kob to the desert bivouac (approx. 205 km)

After breakfast, we ride south from the hotel to our destination for the night - the Jaima desert. Super-fast, winding roads and riverbeds eventually lead us to the huge dried-up lakebed of Lac Maider and a small auberge where we stop for a drink.

From here we ride through Fesh Fesh (bull dust) and wind our way through sandy, dry riverbeds until we refuel our motorcycles in Remlia.

The last 20 km take us through the dunes to our overnight camp in the desert bivouac with hot showers. The bivouac is located near a large area with medium-sized dunes. In the late afternoon/early evening, when the sand has cooled down, we will ride the motorcycle to the top of the dunes to watch the sunset.

Dinner at Jaima and then we all sit around a campfire with local musicians playing for us.

Day 4: From the desert bivouac to Dades (approx. 170 km)

After breakfast, we leave our bivouac and ride through the dunes back to Remlia, where we refuel. We turn north, cross another section of the Fesh Fesh, stop for a drink at a local desert auberge in a gorge and then ride on very fast tracks across a never-ending dry lake bed, along winding sandy paths and river beds. We refuel the 4×4 and then ride on to the village of Al Nif, where we have lunch in a local café and refuel again. We have now left the desert.

On our northern route, we cross the Jebel Saghro Mountains on winding paths with dramatic rock formations and stunning scenery with long slopes down into the rocky valleys until we reach the plateau, which takes us a short distance on tarmac to our next accommodation, a beautiful old castle at the end of a dirt road in the gorge. A beautiful open central part of the building shows off the Moroccan-style ceiling. There are lovely spots and quiet corners to sit outside or enjoy the pool.

Day 5: From Dades to Ouarzazate (approx. 190 km)

After breakfast, we refuel and ride up the Dades Gorge and then eastwards along the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. Hilly, fast sections, interspersed with rocky paths through large washouts and gullies, bring us to a plateau. Picnic lunch somewhere up on the plateau.

Several river crossings, followed by paths winding down into beautiful river gorges, before the last 20 km on fast tracks across a flat plateau bring us back to Ouarzazarte.

After dropping the bikes off at our workshop and checking for damage with our mechanic Hussein, it's time to have a well-earned drink in the bar and reminisce about all the adventures we've had.

Day 6: Journey home
Breakfast together and then transfer to your departure airport (subject to surcharge).
